An historically accurate REPLICA - COPY of the Porsche Motorsport Germany 911 Carrera CUP Racing airbox coverlid used in the European 964 Carrera CUP races at FORMULA 1 events.
Direct bolt-on replacement for the factory 964 air box COVER-LID providing increased airflow and significant immediate power improvement. CAD Designed DYNO developed and CNC machined inhouse on our HASS VF2 vertical mill T6061 Aluminum and anodized gold. The gold color matches the yellow zinc plated OEM hardware that Porsche used in all their air-cooled cars from this era. A SEXY proven tastefully upgrade- that adds to gutsy throaty 3.6 liter flat-6 aircooled sportscar sound and significant power gain.
The design of this airbox cover was inspired by factory Porsche Cup Cars. Porsche AG simply CUT AWAY the stock plastic airbox so it was simply a picture FRAME holding the stock paper filter in place . Porsche Motorsport quoted over a +9hp gain So basically Fabspeed Motorsport replicated this proven design in CNC machined aluminum so the valuable and rare Porsche airbox coverlids DO NOT need to be irreparably butchered.
SOUND:
The factory 994 "911" Carrera airbox is designed to muffle and reduce the sound the induction note of the Flat-Six engine to keep it quiet period. The Fabspeed CUP airbox coverlid added to any stock 964 factory airbox lets all that glorious air cooled flat six sing and increases flat-six induction signature sound that we all cherish while adding significant power gains in under 10 minutes.
