The only 993 fob that needs no programming

Until now, adding or replacing a fob meant the dreaded in-car programming procedure.   The procedure is confusing, prone to error, and requires the immobilizer PIN code that many have either lost or never had.  Even with the PIN code, some 993's can't program fobs because of a hardware issue with the ignition lock.

Many resort to sending the immobilizer and fobs to a specialty shop for programming.   But this comes at an additional cost and requires significant effort to remove/reinstall the seat, security bracket, and immobilizer, not to mention the risk of damage and vehicle down-time.  Faced with these obstacles, many continue to drive with a single fob.

Introducing the F1 EZ

Send us any fob currently paired to your car and we'll create an F1 EZ you can use without programming.   Whether you use it as a backup or make it your primary,  you'll get all the benefits of the 1's modern design, long-life battery and OEM compatibility.

How do I use the F1 EZ?

When you receive your OEM fob back along with your new EZ,  you can continue using the OEM fob if you want - you will notice no difference in how it works.  If you decide to make the EZ your primary, simply press the EZ button three times near the car within 10 seconds.  The immobilizer will stop responding to the OEM fob and start responding to the EZ.  The three-button press is only needed to switch fobs.  Once you switch, the selected fob functions like any other 993 fob: one press to lock, one press to unlock.   You can switch back and forth as many times as you like, but it’s really best in situations where one fob is used exclusively as the "primary" and the other is tucked away as an emergency "backup".

We currently offer a 315MHz version for North American 993's (compatible with Porsche P/N 993-618-259-02).   A 433MHz version for RoW 993's (compatible with Porsche P/N 993-618-259-01) is in the works.  Contact us for availability.
